Small Scale Technology Certificates (STC’s)
The Commonwealth government ‘Renewable Energy Program’ provides a financial incentive for households, investment properties, holiday shacks and small to medium businesses to install a grid connected solar power system, Heat pump hot water system & battery storage unit. This scheme is NOT means tested. Every solar system & battery is deemed to be worth a certain number of Small Scale Technology Certificates (STC’s) which are then multiplied by the daily STC $ rate. The cash value may then be deducted from the total value of your system.
