Government Rebates
Solar Credits Scheme
The Commonwealth government ‘Solar Credits Scheme’ provides a financial incentive for households, investment properties, holiday shacks and small businesses to install a grid connected solar power system. This scheme is NOT means tested. Every solar power system is deemed to be worth a certain number of Renewable Energy Certificates (REC’s). The REC’s are then multiplied by the applicable ‘Solar Credits’ rate and $ value at the time of installation.
This cash value may then be deducted from the total value
of your system.

Renewable Energy Certificate
A solar hot water system or heat pump is usually eligible for a subsidy called RECs (Renewable Energy Certificates). Each product generates an approved amount of RECs which is usually refunded at point of sale. For more information call Adelaide Solar Systems on 8352 8433.
The Australian Government administers RECs through the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER). For more information talk to Adelaide Solar Systems or visit www.orer.gov.au
